If you are not familiar with Airbnb yet, you should definitely check it out. This website is very easy to use.  Local host offer accommodation to tourist in over 190 countries. Fantastic for travellers, who are keen to exploring the sights these countries has to offer, rather than the inside of the hotel room. What's more: Airbnb is great for your pocket. I guarantee, that the costs of the stay will be much more lower.

Recently, Airbnb has announced it will begin collecting tourists tax in Paris on behalf of its hosts.

From the 1st of October charge of €0.83 (per night) will be added to customers bills.

There is nothing to be worried about. Tourist shouldn't be hit with a drastically bigger bill.  This process will make life easier for owners renting out rooms and the government.

"We are grateful for our strong relationships with the French Authorities and are proud to launch this simplified tax process in our number one city" - said Nicolas Ferrary, Airbnb's director in France.

Paris is the number one destination of Airbnb with over 50,000 listing homes.

  1. I love airbnb! It saved us a fortune when I went to Paris. We paid £34 in each for 2 nights and their referral system is great!
