Hola amigos,
Get your sombrero ready, because we are about to talk about Mexico!
First impressions, unfortunately not good. From being swamped by commission-obsessed
salesmen to being rushed in to an unknown taxi, we didn’t exactly feel safe.
Nevertheless we arrived our apartment safely. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen and a
spacious living room, all in the heart of Cancun. This is exactly what we
needed!
After a well needed sleep, we immediately immersed ourselves
into the fast paced life of Mexico. Streets
busy, shops thriving, people running, and music everywhere.
Imagine other holiday destinations you have visited, all
those hotels? Double them in size. Everything in Cancun is much bigger, and I
mean everything.
Cancun is a paradise created by a $70 billion investment.
Which now Mexico cannot afford to loose. Here you can find the best of the best
designer shops, all with a vast collection of their latest clothing.
Huge 5*
hotels, erected like skyscrapers across the beach. Crazy and exciting
nightlife, beautiful men and women enjoying the warm weather all night long. Cancun
is a very different location, with a bit of everything all in one place. With
such a broad spectrum of things to see and do, it is guaranteed to tickle
anybody’s interest.
It is easy to forget about the danger lurking around every
corner. You only need to open a newspaper to see all of the criminals and their
victims that could be amongst you. After reading this, the armed police on
every street begin to make sense.
If you want to make the most of your holiday, don't think about the danger to much though. Of course it is impornat to be really careful: Zip your pockets, hide expensive camera, avoid dark places, but don't get crazy about it. I have been told by many people, how dangerous Mexico could be. fortunately I have never experienced it.
I could spent my life watching this view, while eating nachos and drinking little "Coronita".
I love Cancun.
